The Use of Technology In Education

Technology transformed the lives of all human beings in today's generation. It did a great impact especially in the field of education. Obviously, Technology has its negative side like the cost of equipment. As we all know, some people cannot afford to buy it because of financial difficulties. Other students are becoming lazy nowadays because they depend too much from these things. Some of them are distracted by social networking sites and games that usually eat up their time. When we are exposed to these technologies, there is a radiation which is not good for our health.

                                          

            Looking to its positive side, technology is beneficial to students, teachers, schools and universities. Some schools use in the entrance and in the library, so that they can easily record the attendance of the students. School websites are updated with the following: information, calendar of activities, announcements, photos in events and other things about the institution. Teachers may give an advance and more convincing lectures to improve their teaching efficiency. They can also post homework, quizzes, projects and activities online. Technology provides them easier way to store and compute the grades of their students accurately. Students learn faster with more depth of understanding when they are engaged, motivated and excited. Broad range of skills is also developed when using these technologies. They learn how to solve problems, collaborate, communicate and direct themselves toward success. It enhances their learning, increases productivity and promotes creativity in their studies. It also promotes "Green Revolution" because we lessen the use of trees in producing papers, dictionaries, books and other reading materials.

            For me, I approve the use of technology in education. Change is inevitable. We want the best for everyone. We all dream wonderful things and experiences in life that's why new products are invented. It makes our life easier and faster. We feel more comfortable and satisfied because of the things we accomplish through the use of technology. We can see gifted people who are using their God-given talent. We can really say that they are creative, productive, passionate and determined to attain whatever they aim for. The use of technology in education will really contribute to the increasing number of students.
